The Jack - Now Under New Ownership By Local Entrepreneurs Ryan and Zack

Listen to Podcast Here: The Jack

On July 1, 2024, local entrepreneurs and brothers, Ryan Lindstrom and Zack Zelzulka, became the proud new owners of The Jack, a well known bar in downtown Cloquet, formerly owned by Adam Bailey. Known for their success with Carmen’s Bar & Restaurant and ownership of several other commercial properties in the area, Ryan and Zack were approached by Bailey, who wanted to ensure his legacy at The Jack would be carried on by the right people.

The Jack continues to offer its welcoming atmosphere, serving snacks, drinks, and featuring an upstairs banquet space perfect for gatherings. Ryan and Zack are bringing their fresh vision to the bar, while retaining the full and part-time staff that make The Jack a Cloquet staple. Future plans include upgrading the banquet space, exploring accessibility options, enhancing liquor selections, and serving Moscow Mules in signature copper cups. Live music will continue to be a key part of the experience at The Jack.

"We're proud to be Cloquet locals, and people appreciate seeing our vision to make this place successful," shared Ryan Lindstrom. Zack Zelzulka echoed this sentiment, emphasizing their dedication to both their staff and their community. "We have stable, well-paid staff with benefits, and we empower them to help run our businesses. We delegate to our managers and don’t micromanage because we value time with our own families."

Make sure to visit The Jack, open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., for great drinks and a welcoming Cloquet atmosphere.
